Apple, the iconic company that brought one of the first personal computers to market, has a long list of innovation over its short history. When digital music was taking hold in the early 1990s Apple created the iPod, a stylish and ergonomic device to free downloaded music from consumers' hard drives. Equally as important, was the company's ability to create software that offered a seamless – and profitable – way to access and add to ones music library right from the desktop. Apple's latest innovation, the iPhone, applies the company's tried and true formula of offering cutting edge technology in a highly refined and user friendly interface to the smartphone. With its head start in mobile internet devices and a market share in personal computers that has been growing yearly for the last decade, Apple appears to be in a strong position for the coming years – as long as they continue to bringing innovative products to their style conscious consumers.
